Pete Chase, CEO
Economic development in his home state is a passion for Mr. Chase. The former co-founder and CEO of Purcell Systems, he launched Purcell Systems in 2000 as a supplier of integrated telecommunication enclosures, and oversaw its growth to a profitable global operation with annual revenue of $140 million and 170 employees.
Mr. Chase earned the 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Ernst & Young for achievement in the communications industry, and continues as a regional judge for that program. He also serves on the board of StartGrid, Inc. in Burlingame, California. He is a graduate of Gonzaga University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
Purcell Systems was named #21 on the Inc. Magazine list of top 500 U.S. growth companies in 2005, and won the 2011 AGORA Award as the best business in greater Spokane, Washington.
Scott Chesney, Director of Project Management
Mr. Chesney has an impressive record of public-private partnerships, having worked most recently as the planning and development director for the City of Spokane.
Mr. Chesney established a project management system to ensure effective implementation of complex, multifaceted projects. His career-long passion and focus is on revitalizing cities by positioning them for success in emerging economies through the infusion of development capital and managing overall project implementation, helping to transform communities and improve livability in the process.
Prior to his public planning roles, Mr. Chesney was a principal with Chesney & Associates and Vandewalle & Associates, involved with planning, funding, and implementing urban revitalization/ economic repositioning solutions and creating sustainable regional development programs. He is trained as an architect and city planner at the Universities of Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Mary Chase, Investor Relations
Ms. Chase holds a Ph. D. in literacy, language and culture from the University of New Hampshire and is an internationally known expert in using technology tools to connect groups and build community. She has worked in education, software development and publishing roles for thirty years and has written numerous articles about the social, cognitive and linguistic connections that drive human interaction.
David Kilmer, Communications Director
Mr. Kilmer brings three decades of experience representing some of the Northwest’s leading industries, along with a global background and mindset. He has helped build a string of successes for clients including Mountain West Bank, a home-grown institution which passed the billion dollar asset mark on his watch, Idaho Forest Group, one of America's largest suppliers of forest products, and The Coeur d'Alene Resort, voted America's #1 destination by Condé Nast Traveler.
